Kali Puja (Bengali: কালীপূজা), also known as Shyama Puja is dedicated to goddess Kali, and is celebrated in line with Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Traditionally NJPA has hosted kali Puja /Diwali since 1969. This has also been a signature event of NJPA attended by large number of people. The puja is organized during the day and after lunch and a cozy ‘adda’, the evening is reserved for cultural events on a grand scale. The evening starts with a gala spread for dinner, and typically features a famous artists and musicians from India, along with some of our best local talent.

Saraswati Puja or Vasant Panchami, is when we pray to Goddess Saraswati, the goddess of Learning and the Arts. This was one of our very first events, and we have celebrate Saraswati Puja every year since the inception of NJPA. Puja is usually followed by lunch, various competitive events, and then festivities roll into the evening with cultural events and dinner. Usually we use this event to showcase local talent mainly performances by children.
